Is Jon Leger a Robot? Here’s his Latest – Instant Article Factory

Is Jon Leger a RobotSometimes there are some people that just blow you away! At the moment it’s Jon Leger for me. I just had to tell you about this guy and what he is doing at the moment for the Internet Marketing world in general but also for the members at E1KAD .

It all started last month really when Jon invented a piece of software called Keyword Snatcher and gave the members of  E1KAD free lifetime use if we beta tested for him, of course I was in!

It’s too late now to get that software it went live to the public for only 5 days and is now closed. Briefly what it does is goes out to the major search engines and grabs thousands of keywords that people are really searching on. The Google KW Tool only gives a partial insight and isn’t that accurate as Jon demonstrated to us.

Yesterday Jon comes up with a new piece of kit for us to test out for him. This time it’s software that writes articles. Instant Article Factory is the name. Now I was hugely skeptical but he’s nailed it again!  I really didn’t think it was possible for software to produces articles! Of course it is semi automation but it takes about 4 minutes to get a great article out that reads just great too. I whacked two out in no time this am.

Yesterday there were a couple of bugs reported on our forum today when I got round to testing they were fixed and it worked like a dream. When this software comes out I highly recommend that you get it. Or grab it now for free lifetime use when you join us at E1KAD.

I can’t wait to see what he has for us next, see what I mean about him being robotic :) !

Twitter Feed Added to Google Search.

This morning I was looking for information on the new Wordpress 3. I searched on that exact term in Google. I was suprised to be met with the image you see here.

There is a section that feeds in three latest Twitter posts with a scroll bar! And it’s in prime virtual real estate area!!

Now I don’t know if this is set to stay because it disappeared after a few searches on the same keywords. I couldn’t replicate it for other keywords either.

The accureacy isn’t good as you will see it has returned Twitter posts about Toy Story 3!

Anyway if this is something that’s been around for a while I haven’t seen it! Or maybe it’s part of the new Caffiene set up who knows! Look out for it popping up and if you do see it let me know in comments.

Is Google’s First Page Top 10 Set to Become Top 3?

Again whilst on the 1k a day forum I found some great information that I wanted to share with you. I was looking at Joe’s post about about an interview that he had come across with Bruce Clay a leading SEO expert.

If you follow this link he is interviewed by WebProNews. If you have sites then this is a must see video.

I suggest that you listen to the whole video but the part about the Google top ten being only the top 3 down the line comes in at 14.54 mins. It takes 3 or 4 minutes to unravel what the guy means.

Other stuff talked about is ‘Mayday’, Caffeine, Mobile apps for find not search!! Plus some other bit’s and pieces.

As always let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment.

In Google’s Own Words What it Looks for in a Site

I was on the earn 1K a day forums this morning and saw a post by Jeannie where she had spotted a blog post of a Q & A with a Google Rep. It makes interesting reading!!!

Many people noticed that their sites had slipped big time in the Google rankings recently (May). This change has attracted the “Mayday” term. It affected some but not all as far as I can see. My own sites don’t seem to be affected. The algorithm change was ” Mayday was a significant update that really impacted long tail terms”!

This article is definately worth a look because it covers in Googles own words what it is looking for in a site. More importantly there are also comments on what it isn’t looking for!

My own thoughts are that auto content generated sites are a no no. This must put into doubt auto content generation plugins I would have thought.

For me he reinforced that the meta description IS important to have the keywords in and said that it was one of the few areas people weren’t spamming!

Another takeaway for me was that the onus may be more on personal backlings that visitors might make i.e. bookmarking so they can find your site again. The Google guy actually said 1000’s of links are not the most important thing it’s quality ones that really count! So that begs the question what is a quality link? A post for another day.

If you have e-commerce sites with a picture but little in the way of content it will be impacted by Mayday!

So all in all the importance is quality content, quality NOT quantity backlinks, site stickability for visitors so they bookmark for a return visit. Plus a multi and social media approach. Microsites and auto content are out. All of that is pretty much from the horses mouth!
